The exploration of skin innovations and technologies

In this seminar, we shared information about current trends in dermatological diseases and the potential areas of breakthroughs. We are proud to have had our resident members, RNAscence Biotech (anti-scar microneedle patch) and KINSLABO SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. (skin microbe), discuss their technologies and business models, aimed at maintaining consumer engagement.

As a passionate clinician, RNAscence Biotech’s co-inventor and industry collaborator, Hong Liang TEY (National Skin Centre), explained how the symbiotic relationship among the three pillars—“Research, Innovation, and Enterprise”—drives collaboration, eventually leading to commercialization and significant improvements in clinical outcomes and the overall healthcare system.

Other advancements in skin technologies and discoveries include the revolutionary 4D microfluidic skin-on-a-chip technology by REVIVO BioSystems and translational research in hair and skin by the Skin Research Institute of Singapore (SRIS).

Speakers:
A/Prof Hong Liang TEY (Head of Research, National Skin Centre; Clinical Director, Centre for Medical Technologies and Innovations (CMTi), National Healthcare Group)
A/Prof Timothy Tan (Scientific Advisor, RNAscence Biotech)
Ryo Sueyoshi (Head of Global BD, KINSLABO SINGAPORE PTE. LTD.)
Dr Massimo Alberti (Founder & CEO, REVIVO BioSystems)
Annie Joseph (Director, BD & Strategic Partnerships, Skin Research Institute of Singapore (SRIS))
