FormaCyte Therapeutics
Formacyte has developed a patent-pending injection-free cellular implant which has the potential to enhance the survival of therapeutic cells to effectively manage insulin-dependent diabetes. After a simple under-skin insertion, the cells in our device can sense the blood glucose level and secrete insulin to provide injection-free, precise glucose control to diabetic recipients. Our device also protects the cells by encapsulating them in a hydrogel to shield them from immune attack without requiring immunosuppressant drugs.
