A*StartCentral (A*SC) is a first-of-its-kind open innovation platform by the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*STAR). We aim to incubate and accelerate the growth of deep-tech startups, and serves to bolster the startup ecosystem, including areas such Medtech and Lifesciences. A*SC builds upon the foundation of an open innovation community to foster cross-pollination and interaction amongst researchers, corporates, startups, investors and entrepreneurs across diverse disciplines.

With a focus on people and innovation, A*SC supports budding researcher-entrepreneurs through their journey. To inspire a culture of innovation A*SC runs programmes and provides services that are carefully planned alongside our open innovation community building. A*SC also provides various facilities and equipment to members, including wet labs and prototyping space.

Since its launch in Sep 2016, A*StartCentral continues to attract researchers, A*STAR spinoffs, Singapore based startups, licensees and promising companies which have emerged across the globe.

A*SC will continue to inspire, innovate with, and empower researcher-entrepreneurs in building successful, deep technology enabled ventures.
